go green!
The governement of Ontario can ban plastic bags completely. Other Canadian provinces such as Manitoba banned the use of plastic bags. "In March, 2007, Manitoba became the first municipallity in Canada to ban single-use plastic bags." By banning the use of plastic grocery bags, Ontario's environment will improve and the citizens of Ontario will save money. Instead of having to purchase multiple plastic bags for 5 cents each every visit, people will be able to purchase reusable bags that can last them years. With out plastic bags being sold, it will be impossible to litter them therefore there will be no plastics bags killing animals or releasing toxic bits into the air. Banning plastic bags will also reduce the amount of bags being produced, therefore reducing the oil and natural resources being used and reducing the amount of factories.
